FOR ALL AGES
Corrie Ten Boom was a strong Dutch Christian writer and watchmaker who had an inspiring life story.
Cornelia Arnolda Johanna, also known as Corrie Ten Boom, was born on 15 April 1892 and died on 15 April 1983. She had a rich spiritual soul and had a mind full of wisdom that grew over the years through her struggles.
Corrie Ten Boom believed in her actions that followed the will of God. The entire Ten Boom family helped the Jews during the Holocaust by helping them escape the Nazis. Corrie Ten Boom often talked about forgiveness and was a generous person. During World War II, while helping the Jews, Corrie's house was raided, and she was taken to imprisonment and then to a death camp, but she miraculously survived in spite of endless hardships.
After surviving these difficult times, Corrie was at a church where she came across the same man who guarded her in the death camp. When this man approached Corrie for a handshake, it was really challenging as she knew she couldn't gather the strength to forgive. Later with the help of God, she did gather the strength to forgive. Corrie Ten Boom did not write 'The Tapestry Poem', however, she is often misattributed as the author of it. These quotes talk about the incredible wisdom of Corrie Ten Boom.
