On August 20, 1971, David Walliams was born to Peter Walliams and Kathleen Walliams at St Teresa's Maternity Hospital, Wimbledon in London Borough of Merton, Britain.

His father, Peter, was an engineer, and his mother, Kathleen, was working at a School as a lab technician. David Walliams and his sister Julie Walliams grew up with their parents in a residential neighborhood in London.

David Edward Walliams is a well-known television personality, a famous writer, comedian, and a talent show judge. David is 49 years old as of 2021 and has successfully emerged as a comedic entertainer despite suffering from mental illness. For Sport Relief on March 7, 2008, he, along with James Cracknell, swam the 11.8 mi (19 km) Strait of Gibraltar and completed the swimming in just over four and a half hours.

For Sport Relief, David and celebrities cycled the UK and raised over £1 million as charity. On his way, while tackling the Kirk stone Pass, he met with an accident but completed the ride successfully.

 Walliams swam the length of River Thames 143 mi (230 km) and raised over £2 million for Sport Relief.

 David's entry into the showbiz world was at the age of 24 when he began his acting career.

David started his television career by performing in the Big Finish Production, Doctor who audio plays Phantasmagoria, followed by a documentary. David Williams made his movie debut starring in Plunkett & Macleane starring as Viscount Bilston. In 1996 Matt Lucas & David Walliams starred in the Mash and Peas, the parodic TV sketch series for the first time. This series was aired on Paramount Comedy 1 and Channel 4 during 1996 and 1997 and relaunched in 1999.

However, he struggled for a few years until he gained success. David Walliams appeared on 'Little Britain,' a British character-based TV sketch comedy series between 2003 to 2007, shot to fame and established himself. In 2008, he appeared as a comedian in the BBC Four television film Rather You Than Me. David also earned acclaim for this portrayal of Tommy Beresford in the BBC series 'Partners in Crime,' and for four years, he has been a judge on the popular ITV's Britain's Got Talent show. His first theatrical stage debut was on August 26, 2008, in Dublin in the play 'No Man's Land,' a Harold Pinter classic. David continued to gain popularity for his writings and for starring in the role of a chemistry teacher Keith Church in the two series of the British sitcom 'Big School.' After his primary studies, before getting transferred to Reigate Grammar School in Surrey, he joined Collingwood Boy's School at Wallington. During his early life in Surrey, Britain, his passion for acting began. David Walliams as a young boy of 11 years, acted in his first play at school, and his dress made everyone laugh. This incident was the first moment in life that made him realize his potential to engage people in laughter. David's interest in swimming was evident as part of the swimming team. Edward was born David Edward Williams but later changed his name from Williams to Walliams. David Walliams was dating a Dutch model named Lara Stone at the beginning of 2009.

On May 16, 2010, David and Lara got married at the Claridge's Hotel in Central London. On May 6, 2013, the couple welcomed their first-born son Alfred. David and his family stayed at Supernova Heights in Belsize Park in north London. In March 2015, the couple suddenly separated after staying happily together for five years. David Walliams justified his divorce, which was legally dissolved in September 2015, citing the unreasonable behavior of Lara. David Walliams' primary sources of income are from his children's novels. His other sources include his various ventures in the entertainment industry.
