James Allen was a philosophical writer who became the pioneer of the self-help movement of authors and writers.  

James was born into a working-class British family. Before becoming a writer he worked many jobs to keep his family functioning.

In 1898, James Allen got his break by publishing in the magazine 'The Herald Of The Golden Age'. Since then there was no turning back for James.
