The meaning of Kacia is ‘acacia tree’, according to its Greek origin. It is a feminine name, traditionally used by parents to name a baby girl. The name originates from the name of the acacia tree, which is in turn derived from the Greek word 'akakia', coined by the Greek physician Pedanius Dioscorides while referring to a concoction made from the products of the plant 'Vachellia nilotica', the original type of the genus.
