Pacifica

Pacifica is of Spanish origins and the meaning of Pacifica is 'tranquil'. It also has Latin origins, as the name Pacifica stands for 'peaceable'. The Pacific Ocean takes its name from the name Pacifica. President José María Castro Madriz, who ruled over Costa Rica, had a wife with the name; Pacifica Fernandez Oreamuno, who was the inaugural First Lady of Costa Rica. Pacifica is also the name of a city in San Mateo County, California. It is located half way between the Half Moon Bay and San Franisco, just on the coast of the Pacific Ocean.
