Qiao

The meaning of Qiao translates to ‘handsome’, ’skillful’, ‘pretty’ and the name is of Chinese origin. This name is believed to be derived from the Qiao Shan mountains of China. The father of the Chinese population, ancient Emperor Huang Di, is said to be buried on this mountain. In his honor, the name of this mountain was adopted by his followers and descendants as their last names. During the Three Kingdoms division of China, there were two Qiao sisters, Da Qiao and Xiao Qiao, who were known for their charm and beauty.
