Sabine

A feminine name of French origin, the meaning of Sabine is 'woman'. As a name, it refers to 'woman of the Sabine people'. Sabine, in ancient times, was an Italian tribe where Romans kidnapped their wives-to-be in order to populate their newly-founded city. A character in the 1993 film, 'The Musketeers', Sabine also has a mention in the animated show 'Star Wars: Rebels'. As a name, it was extremely popular in the 1950s and 1960s but is less frequently used now.
