Read these Tokyo facts to learn all about the Japanese capital.

Is your child a budding young detective, crime-solver and Sherlock Holmes lover? Then grab your deerstalker and embark on this Sherlock Holmes Walking Tour of London to immerse yourself in the world of everyone’s favourite sociopath.

This tantalising tour explores the inspiration for Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s original novels as well as locations used in the film and TV adaptations of Sherlock Holmes. Starting at the point where Holmes and Watson first meet, you’ll be taken through the story’s most iconic spots by an expert guide who’ll have everything you’ve ever wanted to know about the mysterious man and his adventures in London.

Whether you’re a lifelong Londoner or visiting for the first time, this tour will let you see the city in a whole new light and make the Sherlock stories come alive as you walk the very streets that the detective does. You’ll be able to trace Doyle’s nineteenth century inspiration onto the capital today and discover this wonderful fusion of old and new that makes London so unique. Have your eyes opened to the city's history and literally follow in the footsteps of the great detective as you unlock secrets yourself of its winding streets.

Whether your little ones are Benedict Cumberbatch or Robert Downey Jr. fans, the tour will include locations used for on-site filming in both the Hollywood movie and BBC TV drama. Make sure you take your camera to snap where your favourite actors stood and slot into the scenes yourself! Dress-up is not required but deerstalkers, trench coats and magnifying glasses are warmly welcomed...

The walking tour lasts for two hours from the Savini & Criterion Restaurant at Piccadilly to Somerset House on The Strand, and the only thing it doesn’t include is Baker Street for the Sherlock Holmes Museum. To make a Holmes day of it, why not pop back to the Sherlock Holmes pub for lunch - a memorabilia-filled landmark of Northumberland Street which you’ll pass - then head to the 221B museum to complete your fix and grab a photo at Sherlock’s silhouette in Baker Street tube station before heading home!
