After completing a civil engineering degree at St Joseph's Engineering College, she started working as a content writer for numerous companies, covering many subjects, from horoscopes to cryptocurrencies. She has also written an educational copy, so she is used to writing for children. Along with English, Alvina is fluent in Arabic and Hindi, and she loves traveling. She has also participated in drama and fashion-designing contests at the inter-school level, so she also writes about actors, influencers, and fashion designers for Kidadl.
