Bill Moyers joined the North Texas State College in Denton, Texas to study journalism. Later, in 1954, US Senator Lyndon Johnson employed Bill Moyers as his summer intern. After some time, Johnson promoted him to the manager of his personal mail. Eventually, he went on to write for 'The Daily Texan' newspaper after he joined the University of Texas at Austin. After parting ways with Johnson in 1967, Bill stepped back into the world of journalism working at Newsday from 1967-1970.
