What is 'The Car Man' about?

The story of 'The Car Man' is based in the United States in the '60s. A handsome stranger arrives in a small town and with his arrival, all dreams are broken in that place. All through desire and heat, the people go into an unstoppable frenzy of lust, greed, revenge, and betrayal. The Spanish cigarette factory of the 19th-century homes the greasy garage diner where all the events take place.

The production will only run for 14 shows and 'The Car Man' is brought to the Royal Albert Hall for the Hall's 150th anniversary. This dance event based on Bizet's 'Carmen' is here to add danger to the dance performances in the theatre.

This extraordinary production that is sure to take your breath away, with 65 musicians, numerous dancers, and a live orchestra, surrounded by beautiful set designs, this musical event is not to be missed.

Musical arrangements include one of the most dramatic scores ever made. The arrangements are by Terry Davies and features 'Carmen Suite' by Rodion Shchedrin.
