Choosing family holidays can be tricky, finding somewhere that ticks all the boxes, that will keep teens on their toes and away from their electronics. With travel advice being slightly vague at the moment a holiday abroad may not be on the cards this year but don’t dismay, here in the UK there are some fantastic places to visit. We’re sharing nine holidays, perfect for families travelling with teenagers.
From action-packed adventure holidays to luxurious hotel breaks in the countryside we have options to suit every family.

The Esplanade Hotel in Newquay, Cornwall is perfect for families travelling with teenagers. Overlooking the world-famous Fistral beach and home to the Quicksilver Surf School, The Esplande couldn’t be missed from our list!
Accommodation/facilities: This family-friendly hotel has a number of modern, family rooms with balconies overlooking the children’s play area or offering coastal views over Fistral beach.
Attractions: Located on Fistral beach there’s lots of fun to be had! Whether your teens want to laze around on the beach, play in the sea or go swimming in the hotels heated indoor pool. The highlight of this hotel for us is the Surf school. Whether you’ve never surfed before or you’re honing your boarding skills, The Esplande is home to the Quicksilver Surf School catering for everyone’s abilities and guaranteed to be lots of fun!
Restaurants/cafes: Head to the Pebbles Bar for a range of sandwiches, light bites and snacks or for something more substantial head to the Cove Restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner options.
Cost: For a sea view family room sleeping a family of five it will cost £1235 for a three nights stay, including breakfast.
COVID-19 measures: Esplande will be taking all necessary measurements to ensure hygiene standards and social distancing guidelines are met.

Looking for a fun-filled activity holiday? At PGL in Liddington, Wiltshire they promise that every day is different, with over twenty activities to choose from, it’s a great option to keep the teens busy.
Accommodation/facilities: Liddington is one of PGL’s newest sites, with two main buildings offering family rooms or the option to have separate rooms adjacent or nearby to parents - perfect for teenagers.
Attractions: If you’re looking for a holiday with teenagers where their feet won't touch the ground, then PGL Liddington could be the one for you. You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to activities from water-based activities like raft building and canoeing to land activities like abseiling, orienteering and zip wires, PGL has it all!
Restaurants/cafes: You’ll get breakfast, lunch and dinner catered for in the dining room. If you have any special dietary requirements just let them know beforehand and they’ll try their best to accommodate for these.
Cost: Prices vary but for a four nights multi-activity short break (Mon-Fri) it will cost £359 per adult, Children aged 5-18 it will cost £289 per child.
COVID-19 measures: PGL Liddington wants to ensure their guests that they are taking every possible measure to keep you safe during your stay. With enhanced measures in place, they have been accredited by the AA as being ‘COVID-19 confident’ and have received the new ‘Good to Go’ accreditation from VisitEngland.

Teens will love the buzz of a city break and Brighton is bursting with attractions making it a great choice for teenage holidays. Overlooking the marina, the Malmaison 4-star hotel is great for families, with its stylish decor and bright rooms it makes for the perfect base for your Brighton city break.
Accommodation/facilities: All of the rooms at the Malmaison Brighton boast modern decor and stylish furnishing. With rooms overlooking the marina, the harbour or the townhouses and cliff sides.
Attractions: There’s plenty to keep teens busy here! Brighton is bursting with attractions from the arcades and rides over at Brighton Pier, to water activities at the beach where you can book windsurfing lessons or go kayaking. Brighton is renowned for its shopping, from boutique shops on The Lanes to bustling markets and independent shops. You'll also find cinemas, theatres, small museums, and endless bars and cafes.
Restaurants/cafes: Head to the Chez Mal Brasserie for a great choice of breakfast, lunch and dinner options.
Cost: Room rates vary depending on the number of guests and length of stay but for two double inland view rooms it will cost £707 for three nights stay.
COVID-19 measures: There will be clear signage to help maintain physical distancing and there will be enhanced cleaning throughout the hotel.

Nestled between the pine trees in Sherwood Forest, Nottinghamshire you’ll find 82 forest log cabins. Set amongst 3,300 acres of woodland, there is lots of forest to explore!
Accommodation/facilities: A selection of self-catering log cabins to choose from sleeping from two to ten people. Each cabin has its own hot tub, gas barbecue, log burner and a fully equipped kitchen.
Attractions: Explore the forest with walking and hiking trails, cycle trails, and mountain biking courses. There are some great Forest Ranger activities to choose from, from learning how to survive in the outdoors, lighting fires to building shelters. Discover the forest by night and go on a nocturnal adventure. Off-site it's a short drive to local attractions including Wheelgate Theme Park, Rufford Country Park, and White Post Farm where they also have go-karting.
Restaurants/cafes: At the Forest Retreat you’ll find an on-site cafe serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner options and an on-site shop stocking day-to-day essentials.
Cost: Stay at a two-bedroom cabin for three nights (Friday-Monday) for £775.
COVID-19 measures: Forest Holidays have been working hard to ensure the sites are clean and safe ready for your arrival. With extra deep cleaning in the cabins, social distancing markings at the Forest Retreat you are in safe hands.

Looking for the best holidays for teenagers? Why not try a boutique glamping break in the heart the Dorset countryside for the perfect family get-away.
Accommodation/facilities: A choice of luxury bell tents or teepees to choose from, all equipped with everything you need including its own private toilet and shower.
Attractions: A host of family-friendly activities to choose from, from silent discos, board games, pottery making, paddle boarding, kayaking, yoga, horse riding, trampoline, football pitches and much more.
Restaurants/cafes: With pop-up restaurants, cafes, and bars there will be something that suits everyone! From small tasty treats for the kids, gin tasting for the parents, to fresh wood-fired pizzas.
Cost: A standard Bell Tent will cost £132 per night (minimum three nights stay). A luxury teepee with metal beds and foam mattresses will cost £265 per night (minimum three nights stay).

If you’re looking for a luxury family escape that teens will love then this award-winning, five-star hotel set amongst 275 acres of countryside within Devon’s Dartmoor National Park is just the place!
Accommodation/facilities: With rooms located in the original Manor House and private mews to private three-storey self-catering lodges in the castle grounds, Bovey Castle provides the perfect luxury countryside retreat.
Attractions: With over ten outdoor team building activities to choose from, including clay pigeon shooting and archery and nature trails there is plenty here to keep teenagers out of mischief. You can book a tour to Deer Park and experience feeding their fallow deer. Travel a short ten-minute car ride and you’ll find Heatree Activity Centre where you can enjoy kayaking, high ropes, fencing and much more.

Situated on one of Cornwall’s most beautiful beaches, this five-star family holiday park in Cornwall has options to suit every budget.
Accommodation/facilities: A choice of two and three-bedroom static holiday homes or the option to bring your own tent, touring caravan or motor home.
Attractions: Only a three-minute walk from the beach, indoor water world, an amusement arcade, tennis courts. For teenagers after some exciting water sports then you can head to Cornwall Watersports Training Centre, for water skiing, wakeboarding, paddle boarding and much more!
Restaurants/cafes: On-site you’ll find Pentewan Plaice, a family fish diner and bar, Hubbox beach shack offering up lunch and dinner options and the family-friendly Seahorse restaurant where you can eat alfresco overlooking the bay. There is also an on-site supermarket stocking all of your holiday essentials.
Cost: Prices vary depending on dates of travel but you can stay in a static mobile home from £92 per night and their Beach house from £156 per night. For camping and touring for a family of four it will cost £51.60 per night (prices vary depending on dates of travel).

Set in acres of woodland by the coastal town of Hastings and with its very own fishing lake, this family-friendly holiday park if the perfect location for your family holiday.
Accommodation/facilities: A choice of modern lodges and caravans each fully equipped with everything you’ll need for your holiday.
Attractions: On-site you’ll find an indoor pool, adventure playground, pottery and gaming zones with amusement arcades. Travel a short drive to the beautiful town of Hastings where you’ll find a host of cafes, bars, shops, Blue Reef aquarium, a true-crime Museum and a crazy golf course.
Restaurants/cafes: There’s an on-site restaurant serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner and a mini supermarket for your essentials.
Cost: Prices start from £249 for a three-night stay.

Set in the beautiful countryside in the Pembrokeshire National Park in Wales, Bluestone is the perfect base to explore the wonders of West Wales.
