What is the Estorick Collection of Modern Italian Art?

Founded by Eric Estorick, an American writer and sociologist, the Estorick Collection is a culmination of art in central London. He began collecting art after he relocated to England following World War II. The sociologist and his wife Salome discovered the book named 'Futurist Painting and Sculpture' written in 1914 by Umberto Boccioni and before they ended this trip, they both visited Milan and bought hundreds of different drawings from Mario Sironi. A lot of temporary exhibitions were used to show the art, including the well-known Tate Gallery. Before Eric died, he founded the Estorick Foundation, where he donated all the artwork he had of the Italian artists.

The collection then went to its current location, a Grade II-listed Georgian house that was converted into a museum in 1998. Now the permanent collection is all there for everyone to see.
