Set in Victorian London, Mary Poppins has official come home. Follow the world's favourite nanny on her journey to teaching the disjointed Banks family how to come together and find magical moments in the mundane.

After its debut in 2019, Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's practically perfect musical was met with raucous critical acclaim, winning countless awards in the theatre world. They have transformed the original film and beloved stories by P.L. Travers into a delightful stage show that's perfect for the West End.

Like Mary Poppins' curious bag, you'll find everything you could possibly need in this production, with incredible choreography, special effects and extraordinary musical performances. What to know before you go

• Mary Poppins' running time is 2 hours and 50 minutes long, including an interval.
• Mary Poppins is recommended for ages 7 and up. Children under the age of 5 will not be admitted into the theatre. No babes in arms.
• Any person entering the theatre (regardless of age) must have a ticket.
• Children and young people must be accompanied by an adult in the theatre. Anyone aged 16 or under must be sat next to the accompanying adult within the auditorium. They may not sit on their own, and you could be refused entry if your children have separate seats.
• Prince Edward Theatre is wheelchair accessible via a set of double doors on Greek Street. There are spaces for two wheelchair users and their companions in Box 1.
• A disabled toilet can be found on the right-hand side of the main foyer at street level.
• If you can transfer out of your wheelchair, transfer seating is available in row A, and the theatre can store up to two wheelchairs and one scooter per performance.
• Infrared hearing loops are available.
• There is a bar at the theatre where you can purchase light refreshments.
• Please note that the show contains strobe lighting, pyrotechnics, loud noises and smoke and fog effects.

Getting there

• This Mary Poppins production takes place at the Prince Edward Theatre in central London.
• The closest Tube stations to the theatre are Leicester Square (Northern and Piccadilly lines) and Tottenham Court Road (Central and Northern lines), both a five-minute walk away.
• Charing Cross (Bakerloo and Northern lines and National Rail services) is around a 12-minute walk from the theatre.
• Plenty of bus routes serve the surrounding area on Charing Cross Road and Shaftesbury Avenue, including numbers 3, 6, 9, 12, 13, 14, 15, 19, 22, 23, 38, 88, 94, 139, 159 and 453.
• Travelling around London by car can be tricky, but if you do choose to drive, Q-Park Chinatown is a four-minute walk away and Q-Park Covent Garden is an eight-minute walk away.
• Both car parks are part of the Q-Park’s Theatreland Parking Scheme, which can save you 50% on parking after 12pm for up to four hours. All you need to do is validate your Q-Park car park ticket at the theatre box office and the car park machine will automatically take 50% off upon exit.
• Parking meters are available at Soho Square but these fill up fast. Alternatively, you could use the NCP on Brewer Street.
